In the 1960s and 1970s, Camping Vinciarello was founded in Guardavalle Marina, in the Vinciarello area, from the dream of Don Vincenzo Criniti and his wife Maria Spedalieri: to create a green oasis between the pine forest and the sea. Surrounded by Mediterranean nature and overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea, the campsite offered shaded pitches for tents and caravans, welcoming every summer families and travelers seeking simplicity, freedom, and a genuine connection with nature. Days flowed slowly between the sea, outdoor lunches, and evenings under the stars, creating a warm and close-knit community filled with shared memories and lasting bonds.

Even after its closure, Camping Vinciarello never lost its symbolic and sentimental value for those who experienced it. Today, more than 50 years later, Don Vincenzo’s great-granddaughter Elisabetta has chosen to revive that green oasis, preserving its original spirit while adding a few modern comforts.
